is China beating GM to the EV game

The Chinese are doing what GM should be doing instead of cranking out more Equinoxes. Most of their vehicles are EVs, and they’re able to pull this off thanks to heavy government subsidies and looser regulations. What do you think, should GM be stepping up its EV game?

And why not having both of them? There will always be people who prefer gas cars and not electric cars. It is one of the reasons I believe gas cars won't ever be stopped from being manufactured.
