Got me some 60lb Cummins springs (from a sale) for my Dongfeng 12v, but surprise! Packaging is all in Chinese. Quality matters to me, not where it's from, but I'm curious - are these DCEC springs legit Cummins or a cheap knockoff? Seems DCEC is a China joint venture with Cummins, but info on other parts like Pacbrake springs is hard to find. Anyone have experience with DCEC parts? Good to go, or should I return these and keep searching?

Cummins' older B series engines in the United States may have been phased out due to stricter air quality regulations. These engines are unlikely to meet current emissions standards.

I would say if the springs look solid and have the DCEC branding, you should be good. However, if you are looking for absolute assurance of quality, you might still want to consider U.S.-manufactured options.

DCEC is indeed a joint venture with Cummins, so the springs are likely legit, but it’s always good to verify. Have you checked for any quality markings or part numbers on the springs? That could help confirm authenticity.

Yeah, DCEC is a legit Cummins joint venture, so the springs should be fine, but quality can still vary.
Cummins makes parts all over the world. In my opinion you don't have to worry about the quality, though!
